CARING for our HERITAGE in BARRINGTON
TIME NOW and TIME FUTURE
A time capsule was placed alongside one of the Barrington windows to mark the completion of the work on these repairs. The window is No.5, without of course, its wonderful glass, sited at the west end of the North aisle and the repository for the time capsule we decided to insert for future generations.
Inside the capsule is a piece of headed church notepaper with details of the builders, architect and funders - also signed. Photos of the two masons and a new 2014 pound coin. The masons were quite taken with the idea that someone might just find the cache in a few hundred years.
This led to speculation as to whether there is anything that was 'hidden 'when the building was being constructed and is still waiting to be discovered.
